A Recyclers' section was set up in June 1998 to help provide a direct link between packaging manufacturers, recyclers and VALORPLAST, so as to encourage the recycling of plastic packaging, to introduce the technical facilities needed for better quality recycling and to develop recycling outlets for plastic packaging.

WELLMAN, SOREPLA, SCHMALBACH LUBECA PET CONTAINERS and CROWN CORK are companies playing a major role in the recycling of plastic packaging; the company TREDI has set up a process for chemical recycling for plastic packaging. These are the founding members of the section. The company WEDCO joined this section at the end of 1999.
